In compliance with the State of California during the COVID19 outbreak, our dental practice was closed during the months of March-May except for dental emergencies. Now that we are reopening the practice on June 1, there will be pent up demand for our full range of dental services. For safety reasons, we will be seeing a limited number of patients per day. This means that we may have fewer appointment times to offer you. This does not mean that you are not important to us. We will do everything we can to care for your needs. You can help us help you by being flexible about when you can come in.

Many of our patients are on individualized treatment plans for gum inflammation and require regular monitoring. We have patients who were scheduled for restorative (teeth) treatment that had to be delayed while we were closed. And, we have patients that are now due (or overdue) for their regular but “very essential” hygiene visits, oral cancer screenings, and comprehensive exams.

We are proactively reaching out to patients whose appointments were postponed and patients who are due for hygiene visits and exams. We are calling patients in order of urgency, based on everything we know about you, so that those whose health may be at most risk can be seen first. Because your oral and systemic health may have changed over the last three months, we may not be aware of changes you have observed that need to be addressed immediately. So, do not hesitate to call us about any oral health concern you have or change in your systemic health we need to know about while we are triaging patients.
